I am honored to be representing S&P Dow Jones Indices on the second anniversary of the establishment of the Xinhua Dow Jones IFCD Index. I want to thank our partners at Xinhua for continuing to lead this project， and for putting together this well-attended press conference.

我很荣幸代表标普道琼斯指数来庆祝新华道琼斯国际金融中心发展指数创立两周年纪念。

It certainly conveys valuable insights in measuring how the world’s financial centers compare to each other in an increasingly dynamic and evolving financial sector.

I would like to take some time to discuss with you our newly formed joint-venture company. In June of this year， we announced the formation of S&P Dow Jones Indices， which combines S&P Indices， a division of the McGraw-Hill companies， and Dow Jones Indexes， part of the CME Group.

我希望花一些时间和大家介绍我们新成立的合资公司。

The new S&P Dow Jones Indices has a combined 200+ years of providing the world’s financial markets with innovative， index-based solutions， original research and timely data. And S&P Dow Jones Indices is home to the iconic stock market indices， the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500.

新的标普道琼斯指数累计为世界金融市场服务了200多年，提供创新的、基于指数的解决方案、原创的研究和及时的数据。

标普道琼斯指数创造了道琼斯工业股票平均价格指数 和标普500指数，这两个的标志性股票市场指数。

This newly formed venture is one of the largest index providers in the world with a deep line-up of indices. Here are some statistics: We estimate that S&P Dow Jones Indices calculates over 830，000 indices worldwide； As of the end of 2011， we also estimate that $6 trillion of the world’s investment assets are benchmarked to our indices；

这个新成立的合资公司是世界上最大的指数提供商，并拥有众多指数系列。

我们估测标普道琼斯指数在全球计算超过83万个指数。

Our indices serve as the basis for 575 Exchange Traded Funds， with combined close to $390B in asset under management [as of 5/2012]； More futures and options track S&P Dow Jones Indices than any other index provider

As you will see， there are four Asian cities within the top 10 international financial centers， namely Tokyo， Hong Kong， Singapore and Shanghai.  S&P Dow Jones Indices has offices in these countries as part of our strong global presence.

We have been committed to working in China for many years. In association with our local partners， such as Xinhua and various asset management companies， we seek to leverage China’s phenomenal growth story as a major financial services hub via a number of innovative and timely initiatives designed to bring a variety of value-added index offerings to Chinese investors.

我们长期致力于中国市场发展，期望与本地合作伙伴，如新华社及众多资产管理公司，一起促使显著增长的中国成为一个重要的金融服务核心，通过一系列具有创新性和时效性的计划和举措，给中国投资者带来各种各样的有价值的指数产品。

A major set of initiatives I would like to describe is the marketing of our US and global indices to qualified Chinese investors which include but are not limited to: The DJIA and the S&P 500， the two leading measures of the US market； The S&P BRIC 40， an emerging markets (Brazil， Russia， India， China) Index； and The S&P Global Luxury Index， which consists of companies involved in the production of luxury goods.

我想介绍的一项举措是把美国和全球的指数介绍给中国的投资者，这包括但不仅限于:

道琼斯工业平均指数 和标普500指数 这两个美国市场的主导指标。

标普金砖四国40指数，一个(包括巴西、俄罗斯、印度和中国的)新型市场指数。

标普全球高端消费品指数，它包括了全球生产奢侈品的公司。

Another set of initiatives is the production of indices in China. We maintain an index operations center in Beijing and currently maintain a complete series of A shares indices for both local and global investors. One example of this is the Dow Jones China 88 Index.

另一项举措是在中国计算指数。我们在北京的指数运营中心，目前维护一整套中国A股指数，提供给国内和全球的投资者。道琼斯中国88指数就是其中之一。

The third set of initiatives involves indices in Hong Kong. In cooperation with Hong Kong Stock Exchange， Hang Seng Index Company and Standard Chartered Bank， we have launched a number of co-branded indices.

第三项举措包括一些香港指数。我们与香港交易所、恒生公司和渣打银行合作推出了若干合作品牌的指数。

It is with this spirit of globalism and innovation that we express enthusiasm for contributing to the Xinhua Dow Jones IFCD Index， which provides valuable information in an ever-changing world. We look forward to working with Xinhua to continue to provide insight into these phenomena and other market trends.

在全球化和努力创新的的精神下，我们想表达对参与新华道琼斯国际金融中心发展指数的热情，该指数为不断变化的世界提供了宝贵的信息。
